Vitamin C, done properly

Ojen N°75 Vitamin C Serum

Vitamin C is the most requested brightening ingredient in skincare, and one of the most misunderstood. The form, the timing and the company it keeps decide whether it works.

The form matters

Pure L-ascorbic acid is potent but unstable: it oxidises quickly and can sting sensitive skin. Our N°75 Vitamin C Serum uses ascorbyl glucoside, a stable, water-soluble form that converts to vitamin C in the skin. It stays effective for the life of the bottle and is gentle enough for daily use, including on skin that finds stronger acids irritating.

When to apply it

Morning. Vitamin C is an antioxidant, so it does its best work during the day, defending the skin against environmental stress and supporting a more even, radiant tone. Apply it to clean skin, let it absorb for a minute, then follow with moisturiser and sunscreen. Vitamin C supports your SPF; it never replaces it.

What to pair it with

  • Ferulic acid stabilises vitamin C and extends its antioxidant effect. Our serum includes 1% ferulic acid for exactly this reason.
  • Hyaluronic acid adds hydration, so the serum feels comfortable rather than tight.
  • Vitamin E and nourishing plant oils soften the skin and round out the formula.

If you also use an exfoliating acid, keep it for the evening so the two do not compete.

Realistic timelines

Glow is quick; tone is slow. Expect fresher-looking skin within a couple of weeks and a visibly more even complexion after eight to twelve weeks of daily use. For stubborn dark spots, pair it with N°60 Pigment Perfecting Serum at night.
